Indy Hound House Rules
Indy Hound House is a dog daycare and boarding facility that has certain rules and requirements for the safety and well-being of all dogs in their care.
Firstly, all new dogs must pass a preliminary dog interview to evaluate their social skills and temperament. Owners must also complete and sign a New Client Form and present proof of current vaccinations. Indy Hound House requires vaccinations for Bordetella (Kennel Cough Prevention), Distemper (DHPP/DAPP/DA2PP), Rabies (1 year or 3 year), and Canine Influenza (initially a 2 part dosage followed by annual booster, with the first round required with appointment for the second dose to attend). Dogs who are 6 months of age or older must be neutered/spayed, as unaltered dogs can destabilize the pack and be at risk of injury by other dogs. All dogs must be on an active Flea and Heartworm Control program, and must be over 12 weeks old.
If a dog has shown aggressive behavior towards other dogs and people, dog daycare is not suitable for them. Indy Hound House recommends other alternatives for these dogs. Dogs must also wear a flat collar and ID tag with current contact information (no prong/choke collars during playtime). Dogs must enter and exit the facility on a leash to keep them safe in the lobby.
For boarding dogs who will be staying with Indy Hound House during holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.), a card on file is required. A $50 charge will be applied to the card for any reservations that are not cancelled without a 24-hour notice. If a reservation needs to be cancelled, the owner must contact Indy Hound House immediately.
If a dog is new to Indy Hound House, they must come in for an evaluation before they can stay for daycare or boarding. Owners must bring or email a copy of the dog’s vaccination records to Indy Hound House before the evaluation. The evaluation only takes 10-15 minutes, during which time the owner can review the waiver and the dog will be introduced to some other dogs at Indy Hound House.

Indy Hound House mainly offers daycare, but they do offer boarding to their daycare dogs. They do not offer separate private plays for dogs who are unable to play in daycare. If a dog is unable to attend daycare, Indy Hound House can recommend other suitable places.
If an owner is new to Indy Hound House and is in search of a place to board their dog, they must bring their dog to daycare at least 2 weeks prior to their requested boarding stay. This gives Indy Hound House time to see how the dog will do during boarding and gives the dog time to acclimate to the pack and playroom.
All new clients must fill out a New dog registration form, which can be done at the facility or downloaded from their website.

Indy Hound Boarding Information
The Indy Hound House offers boarding services only to dogs that have completed and passed their evaluation, as their main service is dog daycare. They cannot offer private plays for dogs that are unable to be in their playroom, nor can they provide walks or toys during playtime. The price for boarding is calculated based on the number of daycare days reserved plus a $12 overnight fee. Even if the owner picks up their dog in the morning, it still counts as a half-day.
It is mandatory for dogs to come for 1-2 days of daycare prior to boarding to ensure the comfort and safety of the dog. During holidays, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, Indy Hound House requires all boarding dogs to have a card on file/package, and a $50 charge will be applied to the card for any reservations that are not canceled with a 24-hour notice. If the owner needs to cancel a reservation, they must contact Indy Hound House immediately.
